Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

The Exponentiated Lindley Geometric Distribution with Applications
We introduce a new three-parameter lifetime distribution, the exponentiated Lindley geometric distribution, which exhibits increasing, decreasing, unimodal, and bathtub shaped hazard rates.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Properties and inference of the Pareto Lomax distribution with applications to real data
This paper introduces a new four-parameter lifetime model, the odd Pareto–Lomax (OPLx) distribution. By extending the Lomax model, the OPLx distribution provides enhanced flexibility for modeling real-world data across various fields.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Power Length-Biased New XLindley Distribution: Properties and Modeling of Real Data
The increasing complexity of modern lifetime data necessitates the development of more flexible probability models. To address this need, we propose the power length-biased new XLindley (PLNXL) distribution, a novel two-parameter model tailored to model ...

The Half-Logistic Lomax Distribution for Lifetime Modeling
We introduce a new two-parameter lifetime distribution called the half-logistic Lomax (HLL) distribution. The proposed distribution is obtained by compounding half-logistic and Lomax distributions.
