Cutting Degree of Meanders [PDF]
We study the cutting problems of meanders using 2-Motzkin words. These words uniquely define elevated peakless Motzkin paths, which under specific conditions correspond to meanders. A procedure for the determination of the set of meanders with a given sequence of cutting degrees, or with a given cutting degree, is presented by using proper conditions.

ABSTRACT Chitosan, a polysaccharide upcycled from biowaste, has long promised sustainable, biocompatible, and antimicrobial films and devices, an appeal reinforced by its recent regulatory recognition, with several chitosan‐based antibacterial dressings gaining clearance through the Food and Drug Administration's 510(k) pathway.

Meander dynamics in the Antarctic Circumpolar Current
Meanders formed where the Antarctic Circumpolar Current (ACC) interacts with topography have been identified as dynamical hot-spots, characterised by enhanced eddy energy, momentum transfer, and cross-front exchange.

A systematic review is conducted to assess the influence of electrode architecture across micro‐ to mesoscopic length scales on electron‐transfer pathways in electrocatalysis. We discuss the structure‐activity relationships in electrocatalytic applications, including resource recovery and environmental remediation, and provide cost‐effective, efficient

The Ikeda, Parker, and Sawai river meandering model is reexamined using a physical approach employing an explicit equation of motion. For periodic river shapes as seen from above, a cross-stream surface elevation gradient creates a velocity shear that is responsible for the decay of small-wavelength meander bends, whereas secondary currents in the ...

A mechanically programmable hydrogel for tissue engineering is developed by modulating the molecular threading density of poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate‐β‐cyclodextrin (PEGDA‐β‐CD) polyrotaxane and combining it with β‐CD‐modified gelatin. The polyrotaxane‐guided transition from disordered pores to laminar microstructures enables precise tuning ...

Downstream Reaches Using the CCHE2D Software (Case Study the Karkheh Dam) [PDF]
Stability of streambeds is dependent on different factors some of which maybe destabilized at any moment. Dam erection on the riverbed is the most important among those factors.

Bone‐Inspired Recyclable Composites for Damage‐Tolerant Circular Materials
Bone‐inspired architected composites are developed by combining osteon‐like reinforcements with a recyclable Elium thermoplastic matrix. The hierarchical architecture redirects cracks and promotes energy dissipation, while enabling recovery of intact, aligned, load‐bearing reinforcement units that retain their original stiffness, revealing a route ...
