Investigating the cell of origin and novel molecular targets in Merkel cell carcinoma: a historic misnomer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study indicates that Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) does not originate from Merkel cells, and identifies gene, protein & cellular expression of immune‐linked and neuroendocrine markers in primary and metastatic Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) tumor samples, linked to Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV) status, with enrichment of B‐cell and other immune cell

Evaluasi Kinerja Alat Ukur Tinggi Muka Air Otomatis Menggunakan Kalibrator Di Laboratorium

open access: yesJurnal Teknik Hidraulik, 2019
Water resources infrastructure development requires a careful planning, one of which requires hydrological analysis. The accuracy of hydrological data is influenced by the method, operator/observer, and the performance of the measuring instrument.

Treatment effect estimation with covariate measurement error [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper investigates the effect that covariate measurement error has on a conventional treatment effect analysis built on an unconfoundedness restriction that embodies conditional independence restrictions in which there is conditioning on error free ...

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

The Impact of Capital Measurement Error Correction on Firm-Level Production Function Estimation [PDF]

open access: yes
Based on a large panel of Czech manufacturing firms, we estimate firm-level production functions in 2003-2007 using the Levinsohn and Petrin (2003) and Wooldridge (2009) approaches, correcting for the measurement error in capital.

Emerging role of ARHGAP29 in melanoma cell phenotype switching

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study gives first insights into the role of ARHGAP29 in malignant melanoma. ARHGAP29 was revealed to be connected to tumor cell plasticity, promoting a mesenchymal‐like, invasive phenotype and driving tumor progression. Further, it modulates cell spreading by influencing RhoA/ROCK signaling and affects SMAD2 activity. Rho GTPase‐activating protein

Accounting for Measurement Error and Untruthfulness in Binary RRT Models

open access: yesMathematics
This study examines the effect of measurement error on binary Randomized Response Technique models. We discuss a method for estimating and accounting for measurement error and untruthfulness in two basic models and one comprehensive model.
