Formulation and Characterization of Novel Ionizable and Cationic Lipid Nanoparticles for the Delivery of Splice‐Switching Oligonucleotides

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) of unconventional composition and defined structures are investigated as small oligonucleotide carriers. A composition is identified that outperforms Onpattro in cargo delivery to HeLa cells. The structure of these LNPs resembles a micellar cubic phase not commonly associated with high‐performing LNPs.

Invariant measures for subshifts arising from substitutions of some primitive components [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2010
The class of substitutions of some primitive components is introduced. A bilateral subshift arising from a substitution of some primitive components is decomposed into pairwise disjoint, locally compact, shift-invariant sets, on each of which an invariant Radon measure is unique up to scaling.

Measurement Invariance and Quality of Attitudes Towards Immigration in the European Social Survey [PDF]

open access: yes
The number of studies assessing measurement invariance of the European Social Survey's (ESS) immigration scale increased in recent years. However, the comparability of findings is limited due to the lack of consistency in the analytic strategies and ...

Binary Electrolyte Additive‐Reinforced Interfacial Molecule Adsorption Layer for Ultra‐Stable Zinc Metal Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A natural binary electrolyte additive is designed to achieve an enhanced interfacial molecule adsorption layer for Zn protection via reshaping the electric double‐layer structure. Consequently, the hydrogen evolution reaction is suppressed and a robust inorganic solid electrolyte interphase is constructed for dendrite‐free Zn plating.

The module of unitarily invariant area measures [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
The hermitian analog of Aleksandrov's area measures of convex bodies is investigated. A characterization of those area measures which arise as the first variation of unitarily invariant valuations is established. General smooth area measures are shown to form a module over smooth valuations and the module of unitarily invariant area measures is ...

On the Invariant Measure for the Ostrovsky Equation

open access: yesJournal of Dynamical and Control Systems, 2017
In this paper, we construct invariant measures for the Ostrovsky equation associated with conservation laws. On the other hand, we prove the local well- posedness of the initial value problem for the periodic Ostrovsky equation with initial data in $H^{s}(\mathbb{T})$ for $s>-1/2$.

Simultaneous Isotropic Omnidirectional Hypersensitive Strain Sensing and Deep Learning‐Assisted Direction Recognition in a Biomimetic Stretchable Device

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Omnidirectional strain sensing is crucial in healthcare monitoring, human motion detection, and human‐machine interfaces. By mimicking the 3D structure of human fingers, this work introduces a novel heterogeneous substrate incorporating the involute of a circle which enables the device to achieve isotropic omnidirectional hypersensitive strain sensing ...

An Unsupervised Learning Approach to Evaluate Questionnaire Data—What One Can Learn from Violations of Measurement Invariance

open access: yesData Science Journal
In several branches of the social sciences and humanities, surveys based on standardized questionnaires are a prominent research tool. While there are a variety of ways to analyze the data, some standard procedures have become established.

Importance of Electrostatic Effects for Interpretation of X‐ray Photoemission Spectra of Self‐Assembled Monolayers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This paper reviews the relevant work regarding electrostatic effects in X‐ray photoemission from self‐assembled monolayers. It is shown that these effects should be frequently considered at an equal footing as the generally accepted chemical shift ones for correct interpretation of the spectra. In addition, electrostatic effects represent a unique tool
