The fusion of redundant SEVA measurements [PDF]
The self-validating (SEVA) sensor carries out an internal quality assessment, and generates, for each measurement, standard metrics for its quality, including online uncertainty. This paper discusses consistency checking and data fusion between several SEVA sensors observing the same measurand.

CALIBRATION OF SIBERIAN RADIOHELIOGRAPH ANTENNA GAINS USING REDUNDANCY
The paper describes application of standard gain calibration using redundancy for a 48-antenna prototype of Siberian Radioheliograph. Traditionally, for calibration, the visibilities were measured only between adjacent antennas since they have the ...

Loss-tolerant operations in parity-code linear optics quantum computing [PDF]
A heavy focus for optical quantum computing is the introduction of error-correction, and the minimisation of resource requirements. We detail a complete encoding and manipulation scheme designed for linear optics quantum computing, incorporating scalable

Neural scaling laws for an uncertain world [PDF]
Autonomous neural systems must efficiently process information in a wide range of novel environments, which may have very different statistical properties. We consider the problem of how to optimally distribute receptors along a one-dimensional continuum
