Mechanisms of Mechanical Alloying
1998Unlike conventional processes in which materials are produced either by melting or sintering at high temperature, synthesis of different types of materials using the mechanical alloying or milling process is generally carried our at room temperature although temperature may rise during milling.

Mechanically alloyed nanocomposites
Progress in Materials Science, 2013Abstract Mechanical alloying (MA) is a solid-state powder processing technique that was developed in the 1960s to synthesize nickel-based oxide-dispersion strengthened (ODS) superalloys that combine the twin effects of precipitation hardening (for intermediate temperature strength) and dispersion hardening (for elevated temperature strength).

Aluminium Alloys by Mechanical Alloying
Aircraft Engineering and Aerospace Technology, 1987After years of research, an important development in powder metallurgy is about to enter commercial production with the commissioning by Inco Alloys International of its $4 million plant in Pittsboro, North Carolina, to produce aluminium and other light metal alloys by mechanical alloying.

Mechanics of Quasi-Periodic Alloys
Journal of Nonlinear Science, 2005A general description of the nonlinear mechanical behavior of quasi-periodic alloys is presented: It accounts for the rearrangements of atomic clusters (phason activity) and is based on a Lagrange-d'Alambert-type principle where phason dissipative effects are included.

Mechanical alloying of AlTi alloys
Materials Science and Engineering: A, 1990Abstract Mechanical alloying has been used to mix elemental powders of aluminium and titanium and to produce mixtures of aluminium and Al 3 Ti phases during heat treatments for consolidation. Alloy concentrations of 12.5–26 at.% Ti have been covered, corresponding to alloys containing 50–100 at.% Al 3 Ti after reaction.

Mechanical alloying of Fe-C alloys
International Journal of Microstructure and Materials Properties, 2007In this article, the effect of chemical composition and time of high-energy milling on the average diameter of particles and grains of powder of Fe-C alloy is discussed. The mechanical alloying processes of the Fe-0,4% mass.C and Fe-6,67% mass.C alloys were conducted.
