Control by cholinergic mechanisms
European Journal of Pharmacology, 2006In the respiratory tract acetylcholine is neurotransmitter in ganglia and postganglionic parasympathetic nerves, but in addition is paracrine mediator released from various non-neuronal cells. Almost every cell type present in the respiratory tract expresses nicotinic and muscarinic receptors and therefore appears to be a target for acetylcholine.

Mechanisms and control of repolarization
European Heart Journal, 1993This paper describes and discusses interventions that may lead to prolongation of the action potential. Special emphasis is given to regulation by drugs. The results of studies focusing on the modulation of inward and outward currents are presented in detail. Specific attention is given to Na+, Ca2+, K+ and Cl- channel currents and their components.

Adaptive control of mechanical manipulators
Proceedings. 1986 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 1986When an accurate dynamic model of a mechanical manipu lator is available, it may be used in a nonlinear, model-based scheme to control the manipulator. Such a control formula tion yields a controller that suppresses disturbances and tracks desired trajectories uniformly in all configurations of the manipulator.
