Polishing trajectory planning of three-dimensional vibration assisted finishing the structured surface

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2019
There are extremely wide application fields for the structured surface because of excellent properties. Sometimes it must be polished finally in order to meet the practical requirements.

Dynamical Design and Gain Performance Analysis of a 3-DoF Micro-Gyro with an Anchored Leverage Mechanism

open access: yesMicromachines, 2022
In this paper, we apply the leverage amplification principle to improve the gain of a three-degrees-of-freedom (3-DoF) micro-gyro. The gain of the micro-gyro can be improved by designing linear and nonlinear micro-gyros with an anchored lever mechanism ...

Sustained Therapeutic Efficacy of Intravenous Plasminogen Concentrate in Pediatric Patients With Type 1 Plasminogen Deficiency: An Analysis of Dosing Parameters and Clinical Outcomes

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Type 1 plasminogen deficiency (PLGD‐1) is an ultra‐rare autosomal recessive disorder caused by variants in the PLG gene and affects approximately 1.6 individuals per million. The condition is characterized by decreased plasminogen levels and impaired function, resulting in fibrin‐rich lesions on mucous membranes throughout the body.

Adaptive control of the radial servo system of a compact disc player [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
The radial servo system of a compact disc player has to cope with large gain variations which are due to disc dependent optical characteristics, tolerances in mechanical and electrical components and nonlinearity in the generation of the position index ...

Rational Use of Herbal Products in Pediatric Patients Treated With Anticancer Drugs in the European Union

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction The use of herbal medical preparation (HMP) is rising among pediatric oncology patients, often to manage treatment‐related symptoms. Their effectiveness remains uncertain, and the risk of herb–drug interactions is underestimated.

Advanced Non-Chemical and Close to Plant Weed Control system for Organic Agriculture [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Use of chemical has been reduced in agriculture for controlling weeds emergence. The use of alternative systems, such as cultural practices (mulching, flame, intercropping etc.) and mechanical system (hoe, tine etc.) has been introduced by various ...

Control of mechanical motion systems with non-collocation of actuation and friction: a Popov criterion approach for input-to-state stability and set-valued nonlinearities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The presence of friction in mechanical motion systems is a performance limiting factor as it induces stick–slip vibrations. To appropriately describe the stiction effect of friction, we adopt set-valued force laws.

Influence of Electrostatic Force Nonlinearity on the Sensitivity Performance of a Tapered Beam Micro-Gyroscope Based on Frequency Modulation

open access: yesMicromachines, 2023
Electrostatic force nonlinearity is widely present in MEMS systems, which could impact the system sensitivity performance. The Frequency modulation (FM) method is proposed as an ideal solution to solve the problem of environmental fluctuation stability ...

Leukemia and Exposure to Potential Benzene Sources in Children From the Mexico City Metropolitan Area, 2010–2021: A Geospatial Analysis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Leukemia is the most common childhood cancer in Mexico, and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most frequent subtype. Exposure to high concentrations of benzene has been associated with ALL incidence, particularly in urban areas. This study evaluated the relationship between distance to benzene emission sources and the number
