Effect of heat treatment temperatures on microstructure and mechanical property of linear friction welded joints of titanium alloys TC17(α+β)/TC17(β)

open access: yesCailiao gongcheng, 2020
The heat treatment experiments were carried on titanium alloys (TC17 (α+β) + TC17 (β)) linear friction welded joint. Optical microscope (OM), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and microhardness instrument were used to investigate the effects of ...

Adhesive Bonding of Aluminium Alloy A5754 by Epoxy Resins [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Joining thin sheets of aluminium and its alloys is a promising area in the field of joining materials. Nowadays, joining methods that do not melt the material itself are increasingly being utilised.

Feasibility study of fusion bonding for carbon fabric reinforced Polyphenylene Sulphide by hot-tool welding [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In recent years, there is a growing interest in joining techniques for thermoplastic composites as an alternative to adhesive bonding. In this article, a fusion bonding process called hot-tool welding is investigated for this purpose and the used ...

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

Processable polyimide adhesive and matrix composite resin [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
A high temperature polyimide composition prepared by reacting 4,4'-isophthaloyldiphthalic anhydride with metaphenylenediamine is employed to prepare matrix resins, adhesives, films, coatings, moldings, and laminates, especially those showing enhanced ...

Density Perturbations of Quantum Mechanical Origin and Anisotropy of the Microwave Background

open access: yes, 1994
If the large-angular-scale anisotropy in the cosmic microwave background radiation is caused by the long-wavelength cosmological perturbations of quantum mechanical origin, they are, most likely, gravitational waves, rather than density perturbations or ...

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.
