Mechanical effects in peel adhesion test
Journal of Adhesion Science and Technology, 1989—Mechanical effects in the peel strength of a thin film have been studied both experimentally and theoretically. Peel mechanics of adhesive strips with constraints
International Journal of Fracture, 1978The peel force as a function of displacement was determined for debonding inextensible adhesive strips with an extensible boundary constraint. Using differential energy balance methods, a closed form expression for the peel force was obtained and found to be in excellent agreement with experimental studies.

Wire brushing of aluminium mechanism of “orange peeling”
Wear, 1960Abstract The brushing of aluminium by rotary nickel silver wire brushes gives surface changes due to low temperature welding, and not surface melting. This is shown by examination of the surface produced at different speeds of brushing, with and without lubrication, and by experimental and theoretical estimation of surface temperature.
