Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Investigation Microwave Furnace Effects on Mechanical Properties and Fatigue Life of AA 7075-T73 with Dry and Acid Treatments

open access: yesAl-Khawarizmi Engineering Journal, 2019
Microwave heating is caused by the ability of the materials to absorb microwave energy and convert it to heat. The aim of this study is to know the difference that will occur when heat treating the high strength aluminum alloys AA7075-T73 in a microwave ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Additive Manufacturing Potentials of High Performance Ferritic (HiperFer) Steels

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
In the present study, the first tailored steel based on HiperFer (high-performance ferrite) was developed specifically for the additive manufacturing process. This steel demonstrates its full performance potential when produced via additive manufacturing,

Photosynthesis under far‐red light—evolutionary adaptations and bioengineering of light‐harvesting complexes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phototrophs evolved light‐harvesting systems adapted for efficient photon capture in habitats enriched in far‐red radiation. A subset of eukaryotic pigment‐binding proteins can absorb far‐red photons via low‐energy chlorophyll states known as red forms.

The role of fibroblast growth factors in cell and cancer metabolism

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fibroblast growth factor (FGF) signaling regulates crucial signaling cascades that promote cell proliferation, survival, and metabolism. Therefore, FGFs and their receptors are often dysregulated in human diseases, including cancer, to sustain proliferation and rewire metabolism.

The Preliminary Study of Non-Chemical Weed Control for Precision Agriculture by Heated Vegetable Oil [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
This study aims to improve the technique for non-chemical weed control by applying heated vegetable oil. Two temperatures of palm oil. at 50 °C and 70 °C. were applied in this experiment to transfer heat energy to the weed.
