Hydrogen Bond Network‐Enhanced Zincophilic Hydroxypropyl Cellulose Hybrid Layer for an Ultra‐Stable Zinc Metal Anode

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
The dynamic instability of the ZMA/electrolyte interface has been addressed by constructing a zincophilic hydroxypropyl cellulose hybrid layer (HZ@Zn) reinforced with hydrogen‐bonded networks on the zinc anode. This advantageous HZ@Zn not only improves ion transport kinetics but also shows lower desolvation activation energy during plating processes ...

Incentives for pollution control - regulation and public disclosure [PDF]

open access: yes
An increasing number of regulators have adopted public disclosure programs to create incentives for pollution control. Previous empirical analyses of monitoring and enforcement issues have focused strictly on the impact of such traditional practices as ...

Nanocellulose‐Induced “Surface‐Lock” Engineering: Curbing the Dissolution of MnO2 for High‐Performance Zn–MnO2 Flexible Electrodes

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
The study designed the nanocellulose‐induced “surface‐locking” strategy to stabilize the interface between MnO2 and a carbon‐based substrate. The dissolution of MnO2 was prominently curbed by imparting C–O–Mn bonding and optimized wettability. Zn–MnO2 batteries were endowed with outstanding cyclic stability and improved capacity.

Phenolic Profiling of Olive (Olea europaea L. cv. Nocellara Messinese) Samples by Comprehensive 2D Liquid Chromatography

open access: yesChemFoodChem, EarlyView.
Comprehensive RP‐LC×RP‐LC‐PDA‐MS/MS profiling reveals 52 phenolic compounds across olive drupes, leaves, pomace, and extra virgin olive oil, highlighting matrix‐specific distribution patterns. Oleuropein derivatives dominate drupes, while flavonoids are enriched in leaves.

Effects of Pretreatment on the Dispersibility of Bamboo Pulp Fiber Suspensions for Nanocellulose Preparation

open access: yesBioResources
Industrial production efficiency of nanocellulose by mechanical homogenization was directly affected by dispersibility of pulp suspensions. The bamboo pulp was pretreated by oxidation using 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-1-oxyl (TEMPO), enzymatic ...

Chemo‐Enzymatic Route for Covalent Cellulose Fiber Dyeing

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
This work presents a proof of concept for a chemo‐enzymatic approach to the covalent dyeing of cotton fibers. Laccase/TEMPO oxidation introduces aldehyde groups, enabling subsequent reductive amination with amino dyes. Excellent color homogeneity and wash fastness were demonstrated using acid red 33, highlighting the robustness of the approach and its ...

High‐Temperature Heat Pump Test Bench with n‐Butane (R‐600) Generating Steam

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
This work involves building a test bench for a high‐temperature heat pump (HTHP) and analyzing the measurements. The focus is on steam generation using an HTHP to decarbonize process steam demand. The findings indicate that stable steam generation is possible, providing a higher heat transfer coefficient in the heat pump's condenser.
