'Freezing–mechanical' reclamation of used sodium silicate sands
International Journal of Cast Metals Research, 2010Abstract The remnant binder on the surface of used sodium silicate sands can be dissolved in water. When frozen at low temperature, the hydrous remnant binder in moulding sands can become brittle, which is beneficial to strip remnant binder from the sand surface by means of mechanical force.

Mechanical and biotic reclamation strategies for a post‐mine temperate grassland
Land Degradation & Development, 2023AbstractGlobal energy production is in high demand and is expanding its development into new landscapes, including grasslands. This expansion has intensive impacts on aboveground and belowground components of grasslands which need to be addressed during reclamation to promote long‐term ecological integrity.

Reclamation of an Ultisol Damaged by Mechanical Land Clearing
Soil Science Society of America Journal, 1986Abstract Mechanical land clearing in 1972 of a Yurimaguas soil (fine‐loamy siliceous, isohyperthermic Typic Paleudult) located in the Amazon Basin of Peru resulted in compacted soil that was abandoned for continuous crop production in 1974.

A mathematical model for the hydraulic networks of mechanical hoisting reclamations
Automatica, 1973The paper presents a method of modelling a mechanical hoisting reclamation. The aim of the construction of this model is to provide an efficient tool for studying, by means of a digital computer, the behaviour of a drainage system under different conditions.
