Mechanical Strength of Stripped Optical Fiber [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
A novel removal technique of silica optical fiber coating with chemical stripping gel was used. We observed that the fiber strength decreases from 5.48 to 4.96 GPa in the case of tensile test and from 0.06 to 0.05 GPa in the case of bending test when the coating was removed from the cladding surface.

Experimental Research on Wind-Induced Flag-Swing Piezoelectric Energy Harvesters

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2021
Piezoelectric cantilever beams, which have simple structures and excellent mechanical/electrical coupling characteristics, are widely applied in energy harvesting. When the piezoelectric cantilever beam is in a wind field, we should consider not only the

Stability and bifurcation analyses for exterior resonant families in Earth-Moon system

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2021
In this work, stability and bifurcation analyses for exterior resonant orbit families have been investigated for a test spacecraft around Earth-Moon system. The initial states are obtained for certain resonance ratio orbits in the two-body problem.

Structural Damage Detection by Using Single Natural Frequency and the Corresponding Mode Shape

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2016
Damage can be identified using generalized flexibility matrix based methods, by using the first natural frequency and the corresponding mode shape. However, the first mode is not always appropriate to be used in damage detection. The contact interface of

Dynamic Analysis of the Rod-Fastened Rotor Considering the Characteristics of Circumferential Tie Rods

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
The research on the dynamic performance of the rod-fastened rotor (RFR) has always been a hotspot. However, the structural complexity of RFR has brought significant challenges to the dynamic study of the RFR.

Twin-induced plasticity of an ECAP-processed TWIP steel [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The TWIP steels show high strain hardening rates with high ductility which results in high ultimate tensile strength. This makes their processing by equal channel angular pressing very difficult.

Structural Optimization of Tri-Cone Cyclone Based on the Response Surface Method

open access: yesShiyou jixie
There are scarce reports on the separation performance of discontinuous multi-cone cyclones. This paper presents a combined tricone cyclone structure. First, a numerical simulation was conducted for single factor analysis on the main structure, so as to ...
