Mechanics of fretting fatigue tests
International Journal of Mechanical Sciences, 1987 A popular fretting fatigue test, in which oscillating tension is applied in phase with the fretting force, is analyzed. The configuration is a generalization of the well-known Mindlin contact problem, and it is shown that the addition of bulk tension has a substantial effect on the stick- slip geometry and the shear traction at the interface.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
FEBS Letters, EarlyView.Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.
