Suppressing the Mechanochromism of Flexible Photonic Crystals [PDF]
We present flexible photonic crystal slabs (PCS) obtained by sputtering of a dielectric 100 nm Nb2O5 high refractive index layer onto a flexible nanostructured polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) substrate with 370 nm grating period. The PCS exhibit a guided mode resonance at around 650 nm.

Investigation of Mechanochromic and Solvatochromic Luminescence of Cyclometalated Heteroleptic Platinum(II) Complexes with Benzoylthiourea Derivatives [PDF]
Two novel cyclometalated platinum(II) complexes based on 2-phenylpyridine (ppy) and 2,4-difluorophenylpyridine (dfppy) ligands in combination with a benzoylthiourea (4-(decyloxy)-N-((4-(decyloxy)phenyl)carbamothioyl)benzamide, BTU) functionalized with ...

Force-light-heat stimulation-induced multicolor chromism and multifunctional applications of europium tungstate phosphor [PDF]
Stimulus-responsive chromogenic luminescent materials are promising for security and optical storage, yet force-induced color change in inorganic materials remains rarely reported. Here we report a europium tungstate that exhibits mechanochromism, driven

Visible-light-programmed patterning in dynamically bonded cholesteric liquid crystal elastomer [PDF]
Optical properties of cholesteric liquid crystal elastomers (CLCEs) can be tuned by an external field, however, it will spontaneously restore to the original state after the field is removed.

Highly Efficient Mechanochromic Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence in the Deep Red to Near-Infrared in Copper(I) [2.2]Isoindolinophanyl-Carbene Carbazolates. [PDF]
Electrophilic [2.2]isoindolinophanyl‐based carbene iPC has been employed as charge‐transfer acceptor ligand in a series of [Cu(iPC)(carbazolate)], which show mechanochromism and environment‐dependent luminescence due to intermolecular C─‐H‐π interactions.
