Effect of terahertz irradiation on DNA damage repair in living cells
We investigated the effect of terahertz (THz) wave irradiation on DNA double‐strand break (DSB) repair in living cells. We found that THz irradiation enhanced DSB repair at specific frequencies, whereas heat treatment inhibited it, indicating that this effect is nonthermal and frequency‐specific.

Importin 7 mediates the nuclear import of HIV‐1 integrase via a specific interacting interface
HIV‐1 integrase enables viral DNA integration into the host genome. By binding to the core domain of the host protein Importin 7 via its C‐terminal domain, the integrase is transported across the nuclear membrane into the nucleus, where integration of the viral genome into host DNA takes place. This translocation is a critical step for subsequent viral

Malformin A1–mediated cytotoxicity in ovarian cancer cells occurs through pyroptosis and autophagy
This study investigated the effects of the natural compound Malformin A1 (MA1) on the cytoskeleton that regulates cell proliferation and migration. Disruption of the cytoskeleton can impair these processes and promote cancer cell death. MA1 disrupted cytoskeletal organization, induced DNA damage, inflammation, activated autophagy, and pyroptosis ...

NMR metabolomics revealed concentration‐dependent metabolic perturbations in HepG2 cells exposed to H2O2. Rifampicin pretreatment enhanced metabolic competence, attenuated toxin‐induced alterations and produced metabolite profiles more consistent with human liver physiology, supporting the use of CYP450‐induced HepG2 models for improved in vitro ...

Augmenting social media accessibility
Proceedings of the 2009 International Cross-Disciplinary Conference on Web Accessibililty (W4A), 2009The popularity of social media is affecting society as they are changing the way communication, collaboration, interaction, and information are produced and consumed. A part of the society (e.g., the one more technologically advanced) takes advantage of social media, whereas another part of society (e.g., old or people with different abilities) is left
