Integral equations for heat kernel in compound media [PDF]
By making use of the potentials of the heat conduction equation the integral equations are derived which determine the heat kernel for the Laplace operator −a2Δ in the case of compound media. In each of the media the parameter a2 acquires a certain constant value.

Superconvergence analysis for Maxwell’s equations in dispersive media [PDF]
In this paper, we consider the time dependent Maxwell’s equations in dispersive media on a bounded three-dimensional domain. Global superconvergence is obtained for semi-discrete mixed finite element methods for three most popular dispersive media models: the isotropic cold plasma, the one-pole Debye medium, and the two-pole Lorentz medium.

Short Communication: Solvent Effects on ρ Values of the Hammett Equation for the Hydrolysis of Benzylidene Benzoylhydrazones [PDF]
The effect of solvents on ρ values of the Hammett equation which characterizes the hydrolysis of Benzylidene Benzoylhydrazone (BBH) and its derivatives (m—NO2 m—CH3, m—OCH3 and m—Cl), have been studied with four solvents (MeOH, Et0H (1), n—BuOH, and DMSO)

A kinetic equation for granular media [PDF]
Summary: We introduce and analyze a kinetic equation for a system of particles in one dimension performing inelastic collisions. Such a system has been proposed as a microscopic model for granular media.

Einstein's equations in electromagnetic media
Abstract In this paper, we extend Plebanski's mapping to encode the Einstein equations in Arnowitt-Deser-Misner (ADM) form within a bianisotropic electromagnetic medium. We realise this by translating the ADM constraints and evolution equations into dynamical conditions on the medium's constitutive parameters.
