Repeated Anatomical Pulmonary Resection for Second Primary Nonsmall‐Cell Lung Cancer: Safety and Short‐Term Outcomes

In 55 patients with second primary nonsmall‐cell lung cancer (NSCLC), repeated anatomical video‐assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) resections—mostly segmentectomies—were safe and effective. Despite a higher rate of air leak and atrial fibrillation, morbidity and length of stay were similar to initial surgery.
