Causal Mediation Analysis with Multiple Time-varying Mediators

Epidemiology, 2022
In longitudinal studies with time-varying exposures and mediators, the mediational g-formula is an important method for the assessment of direct and indirect effects. However, current methodologies based on the mediational g-formula can deal with only one mediator. This limitation makes these methodologies inapplicable to many scenarios.

Mediating Analysis Approaches

Advances in Developing Human Resources, 2014
The Problem In HRD research, while mediation research is receiving more attention, less is known about to what extent it has been used and what methodological approaches have been adopted by HRD researchers. Also, several critical methodological issues such as the common method variance (CMV) are often indicated by researchers who utilize mediational ...

Causal Mediation Analysis

American Journal of Evaluation, 2015
In policy evaluations, interest may focus on why a particular treatment works. One tool for understanding why treatments work is causal mediation analysis. In this essay, I focus on the assumptions needed to estimate mediation effects. I show that there is no “gold standard” method for the identification of causal mediation effects.

Fuzzy Mediation Analysis

International Journal of Fuzzy Systems, 2019
A mediator variable is a variable that causes mediation in the dependent and the independent variables. The mediator variables play important roles in data analysis which involve several variables, especially when the dependent and independent variables are affected by other variables.
