Dynamic Time Warping of Pulse Wave Curves
Being able to non-obtrusively and continuously monitor arterial blood pressure is of great interest, particularly in the context of wearable sensors. A common limitation is the need for dedicated hardware, which is either obtrusive or expensive.

Clinical Insights Into Hypercalcemia of Malignancy in Childhood
ABSTRACT Hypercalcemia of malignancy (HCM) is a rare but life‐threatening metabolic emergency in children that occurs in less than 1% of pediatric cancer cases, with a reported incidence ranging from 0.4% to 1.0% across different studies. While it is observed in 10%–20% of adult malignancies, pediatric HCM remains relatively uncommon.

ABSTRACT Background and Aims Wilms tumour (WT) has excellent event‐free and overall survival (OS). However, small differences exist between countries participating in the same international study. This led us to examine variation in adherence to protocol recommendations as a potential contributing factor.

Teaching Signal Processing to the Medical Profession [PDF]
Knowledge of signal processing is very important for medical students. A medical signal may be used for monitoring, constructing an image, or for extracting the numerical quantity of a parameter. This information forms a basis for medical decisions. However, the processing of the signal may lead to distortion and an incorrect interpretation.

ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.
