Long‐term safety of tenapanor in patients with irritable bowel syndrome with constipation in the T3MPO‐3 study

A total of 90 patients received ≥52 weeks of treatment with tenapanor across the parent (T3MPO‐1 and T3MPO‐2) and T3MPO‐3 studies, with a mean tenapanor exposure of 375.2 days. Just over half of patients experienced a TEAE. Diarrhea was the most common TEAE, with the majority being mild or moderate in intensity.

Abstract Background Hereditary angioedema (HAE) with C1‐inhibitor deficiency (HAE‐C1‐INH) is characterized by recurrent, debilitating episodes of swelling. Sebetralstat, an investigational oral plasma kallikrein inhibitor, demonstrated promising efficacy for on‐demand treatment of HAE‐C1‐INH in a phase 2 trial.
