Ein i‐Motiv/Duplex‐Konjugat wurde hinsichtlich seiner Fähigkeit untersucht, die Protonen der hemiprotonierten C:CH+‐Basenpaare durch AgI‐Ionen zu ersetzen, um C–AgI–C‐Basenpaare zu bilden. Are i‐Motif Structures in DNA Compatible with Cytosine–Ag(I)–Cytosine Base Pairs?
An i‐motif/duplex junction was evaluated with respect to its ability to replace the protons from the hemi‐protonated C:CH+ pairs by AgI ions to form C–AgI–C base pairs. Interestingly, only one such metal‐mediated base pair can be formed before the oligonucleotide rearranges into a duplex structure.
