Thermokinetic analysis and product characterization of Medium Density Fiberboard pyrolysis
Bioresource Technology, 2018This study investigates the pyrolysis of Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) as a potential waste management solution. Thermal behaviour of MDF was analysed via TG/DSC. The primary decomposition step occurred between 190 °C and 425 °C. Evolved gaseous products over this step were evaluated by a FTIR spectrometer coupled with TGA.

Evaluation of surface roughness of Thai medium density fiberboard (MDF)
Building and Environment, 2006Abstract Wood composites contain irregularities on their surface due to the sanding process which play an important role when they are used as substrate for thin overlays. The objective of this study is to evaluate surface characteristics of commercially manufactured medium density fiberboard (MDF) panels in Thailand.

Comparison of Water Resistance for Modified Medium-Density Fiberboard
Forest Products Journal, 2022Abstract Commercial medium-density fiberboard (MDF) products, specifically manufactured for water resistance, were evaluated over 8 days under three water exposure regimes: 90 percent relative humidity, one-sided water spray, and one-sided wet pad. A three-cycle wet-pad and drying exposure test was also performed.

Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis Related to Medium-Density Fiberboard
Archivos de Bronconeumología (English Edition), 2012Pneumonitis due to hypersensitivity to wood fiber is mainly associated with the fungus that colonizes it. We present the case of a male affected with hypersensitivity pneumonitis in which the agent implicated was medium-density fiberboard, an engineered product whose main component is pine wood fiber.

Isolation of cellulose nanocrystals from medium density fiberboards
Carbohydrate Polymers, 2017Cellulose fibers have been successfully isolated from medium density fiberboards (MDFs) by sodium chlorite oxidation-potassium hydroxide (NaClO2-KOH) leaching process, at 37.6% yield, comparable to the 39.3% and 37.3% cellulose fibers from eucalyptus and eucalyptus with 12% cured urea-formaldehyde (UF) resin, respectively.
