A Technique for Making Nuclear Fusion in Solids [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
A technique is described for making nuclear fusion at room temperature by compressing a powder mixture comprising a deuteride and catalytic material. The result is explosive beyond known chemical reaction for the materials.

Microstructure Evolution of a Medium Manganese Steel During Thermomechanical Processing [PDF]

open access: yesMetallurgical and Materials Transactions A, 2016
An as-cast Fe-0.2C-10Mn-3Si-3Al medium manganese steel with a ferrite plus austenite duplex microstructure was subjected to hot compression tests at deformation temperatures within two-phase (α + γ) range and various strain rates. The microstructure evolution of the experimental steel during hot deformation was investigated.

Design of Fully Austenitic Medium Manganese Steels

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2018
Due to their higher ferrite potential compared to high Mn twinning-induced plasticity (TWIP) steels, medium Mn steels usually exhibit austenitic-ferritic microstructures, which makes them suitable for third-generation advanced high-strength steel applications.

Tempering and Intercritical Annealing of Air‐Hardening 4 wt% Medium Manganese Steels

open access: yessteel research international, 2021
The mechanical properties after tempering and intercritical annealing of medium manganese steels with 4 wt% Mn for forging applications are presented. After forging with subsequent air cooling, heat treatments were performed, specifically tempering from 250 and 450 °C and intercritical annealing between 600 and 675 °C.
