Diversity of Bee Floral Resources and Honey Production Calendar in Ethiopia’s Southwest Shoa Zone

open access: yesAdvances in Agriculture, Volume 2024, Issue 1, 2024.
Bee flora resources are essential for the development of beekeeping. This study aimed to identify the diversity of key bee forage plants, establish honey harvesting calendars, and assess different types of monofloral honey in the area. Data collection methods included a bee plant inventory, pollen collection, and honey pollen analysis.

Melissopalynological methodologies for investigating honey samples – a critical approach

open access: yesAnais da Academia Brasileira de Ciências
Melissopalynological techniques are used in the analysis of pollen grains. However, the adoption of methodologies considering cost-effectiveness, shorter preparation time and lesser toxic procedures for researchers is relevant. Thus, this study aimed to analyze different melissopalynological methodologies in polyfloral honey samples.
