Multiplication potential of Meloidogyne arenaria in weeds found in Brazil

The status quo of the knowledge of the ability of Meloidogyne arenaria to reproduce in weeds is a little unknown. Resistance of maize to Meloidogyne arenaria and Meloidogyne javanica
Theoretical and Applied Genetics, 1990A diallel cross of eight maize, Zea mays L., inbred lines was analyzed for reaction to two species of root-knot nematodes, Meloidogyne arenaria (Neal) Chitwood and M. javanica (Treub) Chitwood. Egg production following inoculation of F1 hybrid seedlings with nematode eggs was determined in a greenhouse experiment.

Management of root knot nematode (Meloidogyne arenaria) in thippali
INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF PLANT PROTECTION, 2016Thippali, Piper longum , an important medicinal plant belonging to the family Piperaceae. An increase in root knot nematode attack was observed in thippaligrowing plots. Pot culture experiments were conducted to study the management of root knot nematode infesting thippali using bioagents, organic amendments, botanical extract and chemicals.
