Fuzzy logic based on Belief and Disbelief membership functions
Many theories are developed based on probability to deal with incomplete information. The fuzzy logic deals with belief rather than likelihood (probability). Zadeh first defined fuzzy set as a single membership function.

Information Volume of Fuzzy Membership Function
Fuzzy membership function plays an important role in fuzzy set theory. However, how to measure the information volume of fuzzy membership function is still an open issue. The existing methods to determine the uncertainty of fuzzy membership function only measure the first-order information volume, but do not take higher-order information volume into ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

The parametric definition of membership functions in XFL3 [PDF]
This paper presents a study of the different kinds of membership function (MF) definitions, regarding free MFs and families of MFs, and describes the capabilities of XFL3 (the formal specification language defined by Xfuzzy 3) to manage them. This includes not only the possibility of using them in a system design, but also the capability for extending ...

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

FGA Temperature Control for Incubating Egg
This paper investigates the use of genetic algorithms (GA) in the design and implementation of fuzzy logic controllers (FLC) for incubating egg. What is the best to determine the membership function is the first question that has been tackled. Thus it is

Soft set theory, proposed by Molodstov has been regarded as an effective mathematical tool to deal with uncertainties. Vague set is a set of objects, each of which has a grade of membership whose value is a continuous subinterval of [0,1].
