Cryo-electron microscopy (cryoEM) grid preparation is one of the bottlenecks in using cryoEM for macromolecular structure determination. Despite significant advancements in the development of blot-free instruments, their high cost limits their widespread

A New method for the capture of surface proteins in Plasmodium falciparum parasitized erythrocyte [PDF]
Introduction: We propose a new method for the selective labeling, isolation and electrophoretic analysis of the Plasmodium falciparum protein exposed on the erythrocyte cell surface.

Protein phosphorylation in yeast mitochondria [PDF]
We describe the identification and submitochondrial localization of four protein kinases and of their target proteins in derepressed yeast mitochondria. The activity of one of the kinases depends on the presence of cyclic AMP (cAMP).

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Structure and function of bacterial dynamin-like proteins [PDF]
Membrane dynamics are essential for numerous cellular processes in eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells. In eukaryotic cells, membrane fusion and fission are often catalyzed by large GTPases of the dynamin protein family. These proteins couple GTP hydrolysis

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Cellular mechanisms for cargo delivery and polarity maintenance at different polar domains in plant cells [PDF]
The asymmetric localization of proteins in the plasma membrane domains of eukaryotic cells is a fundamental manifestation of cell polarity that is central to multicellular organization and developmental patterning.

Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Nano-org, a functional resource for single-molecule localisation microscopy data
The nanoscale organisation of proteins plays a key role in diverse cellular processes, including signalling, adhesion, and structural integrity. Single-molecule localisation microscopy (SMLM) is a super-resolution imaging technique that captures the ...
