Preferential Membrane Remodeling on Curved Biointerfaces Induced by Conjugated Oligoelectrolyte
Conjugated oligoelectrolytes (COEs) spontaneously intercalate into and modulate lipid membranes thanks to their hydrophobic backbone and hydrophilic ionic termini, enabling applications in biosensing, fluorescence imaging, antimicrobial therapy, and ...

Genetically Encoded Biosensors Reveal PKA Hyperphosphorylation on the Myofilaments in Rabbit Heart Failure [PDF]
RATIONALE: In heart failure, myofilament proteins display abnormal phosphorylation, which contributes to contractile dysfunction. The mechanisms underlying the dysregulation of protein phosphorylation on myofilaments is not clear.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

Membrane remodeling via ubiquitin-mediated pathways
The dynamic process of membrane shaping and remodeling plays a vital role in cellular functions, with proteins and cellular membranes interacting intricately to adapt to various cellular needs and environmental cues. Ubiquitination-a posttranslational modification-was shown to be essential in regulating membrane structure and shape.
