Menger Space and Some Contraction Mappings
Communications on Applied Nonlinear AnalysisMenger space is a probabilistic metric space introduced by K. Menger [15] in 1942 as one of the generalizations of metric space. The two different types of contraction mappings in probabilistic metric spaces are the creation of V.M. Sehgal [20-21], and T.L. Hicks [14].

A space X is star-K-Menger if for each sequence (Un : n ∈ N) of opencovers of X there exists a sequence (Kn : n ∈ N) of compact subsetsof X such that {St(Kn, Un) : n ∈ N} is an open cover of X. In thispaper, we investigate the relationship between star-K-Menger spacesand related spaces, and study topological properties of star-K-Mengerspaces.
