Synergistic Interaction Between MALAT1/miR‐30b‐5p/BAFF Axis and Inflammatory Cytokines Underlies Rituximab‐Refractory NMOSD

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 6, June 2026.
The MALAT1/miR‐30b‐5p/BAFF axis is activated in monocytes during NMOSD onset and relapse. The MALAT1/miR‐30b‐5p/BAFF axis is activated in monocytes, thereby facilitating the release of BAFF and inflammatory cytokines (including IL‐1, IL‐6, IL‐8, and TNF‐α).

RNF213 Variants Associated With Periventricular Anastomosis Regression After Revascularization in Moyamoya Disease

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 6, June 2026.
Bao et al. demonstrated that RNF213 variants in the C‐terminal region are associated with periventricular anastomosis (PA) regression, underscoring a broader genotype and angiographic phenotype correlation. Furthermore, PA regression could serve as a potential radiological marker for predicting the risk of future hemorrhage in moyamoya disease patients.

Embryonic cerebrospinal fluid pressure in fetal mice in utero: External factors pressurize the intraventricular space

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, Volume 255, Issue 6, Page 533-547, June 2026.
Abstract Background Previous experiments inducing leakage of embryonic cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) suggest the necessity of intraventricular CSF pressure (PCSF) for brain morphogenesis. Nevertheless, how embryonic PCSF occurs is unclear, especially in utero. Results Using a Landis water manometer, we measured PCSF in fetal mice isolated from the amniotic

Widespread Lateral Transmission in Fergusonina Galling Flies (Diptera: Fergusoninidae) and Their Obligate Nematode Mutualists Does Not Preclude an Overall Pattern of Cospeciation

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
The biology of gall‐forming fergusoninid flies and their obligate nematode mutualists suggests strict vertical transmission of nematodes between fly generations. Using mitochondrial sequence data to associate fly and nematode haplotypes, we found widespread intraspecific horizontal transfer in multiple species.

Integrative genomic and spatial transcriptomic analysis elucidates the oligodendrocyte‐mediated etiology of epileptic cortical thinning

open access: yesEpilepsia Open, Volume 11, Issue 3, Page 895-911, June 2026.
Abstract Objective Focal epilepsy is characterized by progressive cortical thinning, particularly within limbic structures; however, whether this atrophy reflects acquired seizure‐induced damage or shared genetic predisposition remains unresolved. Methods We integrated genome‐wide association study (GWAS) summary statistics from the ILAE Consortium ...
