The primary treatment of meningiomas is surgery which can be curative if the tumor is completely removed. For parasagittal, lateral sphenoid wing and olfactory groove meningiomas, gross-total resection should be the goal. Tuberculum and diaphragma sella meningiomas can be resected through the subfrontal or the pterional approaches.

The relationship between histochemical enzyme activities of brain tumors and clinical features of the patients [PDF]
Human brain turnors removed from 126 patients were histochemically examined and following results were obtained. 1. In general, alkaline phosphatase activity is decreased in poorly differentiated gliomas, but is not related to the tumor cell infiltration.

ABSTRACT Solitary fibrous tumors (SFTs) are rare neoplasms characterized by spindle neoplastic cell proliferation within collagenous stroma and prominent dilated vasculature. They present a wide histopathological spectrum, ranging from hypocellular lesions with a rich collagenous stroma to hypercellular lesions with scant stroma.

Malignant Meningioma with Lumbar Spinal Metastasis (a case report) [PDF]
Meningioma is considered as a benign central nervous system tumor that accounts for approximately 18% of all brain tumors. About 5% of meningioma tumors are malignant and have more aggressive clinical signs and worse prognosis compared to benign tumors ...

Preoperative grading of intracranial meningioma by magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H-MRS). [PDF]
Although proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H-MRS) is a common method for the evaluation of intracranial meningiomas, controversy exists regarding which parameter of 1H-MRS best predicts the histopathological grade of an intracranial meningioma. In
