The sensitivity of tibio-femoral contact to parameters describing the geometry of the lateral and medial menisci [PDF]
The sensitivity of contact variables of the tibial plateau to the transverse depth, transverse width, cross-sectional height and cross-sectional width of both menisci was investigated.

Postnatal development of depth-dependent collagen density in ovine articular cartilage [PDF]
Articular cartilage (AC) is the layer of tissue that covers the articulating ends of the bones in diarthrodial joints. Adult AC is characterised by a depth-dependent composition and structure of the extracellular matrix that results in depth-dependent ...

A discoid medial meniscus is a relatively rare pathology of the knee joint, and bilateral cases are extremely rare. We present one case of bilateral symptomatic discoid medial menisci. Arthroscopy revealed a complete type of discoid medial meniscus in one knee and an incomplete type in the other knee.

Background: The knee joint is highly prone to injury, particularly involving the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and menisci. Anatomical variations in meniscal morphology and their relationship to the ACL tibial insertion (ACLTI) and tibial plateau may influence injury patterns and surgical outcomes. This study
