Micro‐Coil Neuromodulation at Single‐Cell and Circuit Levels for Inhibiting Natural Neuroactivity, Neutralizing Electric Neural Excitation, and Suppressing Seizures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Micromagnetic stimulation (µMS) offers a precise method for neural inhibition, complementing existing neuromodulation techniques. Using an implantable micro‐coil device, µMS selectively suppresses cortical activity with high spatial resolution. It effectively counteracts micro‐electrode stimulation and reduces seizure amplitude, highlighting its ...

Nucleotides as an Anti‐Aging Supplementation in Older Adults: A Randomized Controlled Trial (TALENTs study)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The TALENTs randomized controlled trial evaluates the potential of nucleotides supplementation as an anti‐aging intervention in older adults. After 19 weeks, nucleotides supplementation significantly reduces DNA methylation age, suggesting a delay in epigenetic aging, and improves insulin sensitivity without severe adverse events.

Modeling trajectories of mental health: challenges and opportunities [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
More than two thirds of mental health problems have their onset during childhood or adolescence. Identifying children at risk for mental illness later in life and predicting the type of illness is not easy. We set out to develop a platform to define subtypes of childhood social-emotional development using longitudinal, multifactorial trait-based ...

The Molecular Basis of Amino Acids Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Amino acids are essential as protein building blocks and signaling molecules, enabling metabolic regulation. Cells sense amino acid levels to control protein synthesis, maintain homeostasis, and adapt to nutritional changes. This review explores recent advances in amino acid sensing mechanisms across organisms, highlighting their roles in cellular ...
