Impaired Motor Function in a Zebrafish Stathmin‐2 Knockout Model
ABSTRACT Stathmin‐2 (STMN2) is a microtubule‐associated protein that plays a role in the stability of microtubules in axons of the nervous system of animals. In this study, we generated a novel zebrafish STMN2 knockout (KO) model. STMN2 is represented by two genes in the zebrafish genome: stmn2a and stmn2b.

Abstract U6 and 7SK snRNAs process a 5’ cap, believed to be essential for their stability and maintained by mammalian MePCE or Drosophila Bin3 enzymes. Although loss of either protein results in 7SK instability, loss of neither is associated with U6 reduction.

ABSTRACT The congenital myasthenic syndromes are rare disorders of impaired signal transmission at the neuromuscular junction. Despite next generation sequencing facilitating the identification of variants in myasthenic‐associated genes, these variants are frequently of unknown significance and the clinical diagnosis can be delayed.

Advancements and Challenges in Liquid Hydrogen Storage Tank Design for Maritime Applications
ABSTRACT In line with the Paris Agreement and the IMO's decarbonization goals, the shipping industry has begun to focus more intensively on adopting alternative fuels to reduce emissions. Among these, hydrogen has attracted considerable attention, with liquid hydrogen (LH2) offering advantages in energy density and storage volume over compressed gas ...

Abstract Background Emerging evidence indicates that dysregulation of monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs), synthesized by the enzyme stearoyl‐coenzyme A desaturase (SCD), impacts on α‐synuclein pathology in the Parkinson's disease (PD) brain. Objective The objective of this study was to analyze SCD and MUFA‐enriched lipids in the periphery of patients ...

Optimization of drag reduction effect of air lubrication for a tanker model
The reduction of CO2 emissions has been a key target in the marine industry since the IMO's MEPC published its findings in 2009. Air lubrication method is one of the mature technologies for commercialization to reduce the frictional resistance and ...

Polyurethane Depolymerization With Alkyl, Aryl, and Mixed Carbonates
The depolymerization of polyurethane foams strongly depends on carbonate structure. Aryl carbonates improve hard‐segment solubility but generate side products. Alkyl carbonates give cleaner products yet suffer from limited hard‐block solubility and require anisole as a cosolvent. Mixed carbonate systems balance these effects, improving solubility while
