ABSTRACT This study examines how carbon accounting can be used to govern, not merely report, circular economy principles in shipping corporations. Grounded in institutional theory and aligned with the UN 2030 Agenda, this study introduces circular harmony as an accounting design principle: Circular interventions are embedded in a single well‐to‐wake ...

Design of a miniaturized ultrawideband and low scattering antipodal vivaldi antenna array
This paper presents a miniaturized ultra-wideband (UWB) antipodal Vivaldi antenna (AVA) array with low-scattering characteristics integrated a hybrid diffusive-absorptive metasurface. Periodic elliptical slots at the outer edges and a dielectric lens are

Numerical Simulation and Validation in Scrubber Wash Water Discharge from Ships
A regulation on the sulfur emissions of ships sailing in global sea areas has been enforced since 1 January 2020. In this new regulation, ships are required to use low-sulfur fuel oils or to install an after-treatment equipment, such as a scrubber.

European Ports as Energy Hubs: A Sustainability Index to Assess Territorial Development
ABSTRACT The capacity of ports to act as energy hubs is increasingly relevant in light of sustainability challenges and global crises like the Ukraine conflict, the COVID‐19 pandemic and energy scarcity. Numerous international and national initiatives are shaping the future of port development to address environmental and economic concerns.

First use of a natural swine model with lipid metabolism to directly link lipid differences to a quantifiable intestinal villus height phenotype. Identified the phospholipid‐derived oleoylethanolamide, rather than canonical fatty acids, as the endogenous primary ligand that activates peroxisome proliferator‐activated receptors α (PPARα) to enlarge ...

A Case of Mohs Micrographic Surgery for Facial Porocarcinoma in an Adolescent and Literature Review
Introduction Eccrine porocarcinoma (EPC), the most common malignant tumor of the eccrine sweat glands, accounts for approximately 0.005%–0.01% of all skin malignancies. However, a standard treatment for EPC is currently lacking. Many previous studies demonstrated that it mainly occurs in the elderly and is extremely rare in adolescents. Here, we report
