Physiological and biochemical characteristics of milk thistle (Silybum marianum (L.) Gaertn) as affected by some plant growth regulators

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 12, Issue 8, Page 6022-6033, August 2024.
A chromatogram diagram of HPLC related to the main phenolic compounds in seed extract under drought stress was shown. According to the results, the maximum of taxifolin with foliar application of brassinosteroid (1 μM) under 75% field capacity. Most silydianin was obtained by the application of spermidine in 75% field capacity.

Mepiquat chloride loss by simulated rain

open access: yes, 2004
Brazilian cotton production is located in regions in which pluvial precipitation indexes are around 2,000 mm per year. Growth regulator application in conditions under such indices can make product to be washed before being absorbed by the plants.

Mepiquat chloride and paclobutrazol in size reduction of Arundina graminifolia

open access: yesAgronomy Science and Biotechnology, 2017
The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of mepiquat chloride and paclobutrazol on reducing the size of Arundina graminifolia for commercialization as a flower vase. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse with 50% of shading. Plants were grown in one-liter black polypropylene vase filled with commercial substrate Plantmax ® and sand

Changes in the elemental composition of winter wheat plants caused by the action of Megafol and retardants

open access: yesRegulatory Mechanisms in Biosystems, 2017
In the course of field experiments conducted during the 2015–2016 vegetation seasons, retardants Medax Top, 1.0 l/ha (prohexadione-Са and mepiquat-chloride), appeared more effective than Terpal, 1.5 l/ha (mepiquat-chloride and ethephon), on field plots ...
