An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Sintesis Dimerkaptoetil Adipat sebagai Bahan Baku Stabiliser Termal Polivinil Klorida berbasis Timah Organik Ester Balik

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Chemical Research, 2020
This research aimed to study the synthesis of dimercaptoethyl adipate as raw materials for polyvinyl chloride thermal stabilizer from mercaptoethanol and adipic acid in a batch reactor in which water as a side product was removed by azeotropic ...

Hydrodynamic Properties of 2‐Mercaptoethanol‐Modified Glycogen [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Biochemistry, 1977
Treatment of glycogen with 2‐mercaptoethanol and iodoacetamide gives rise to a modified glycogen which resembles the original glycogen in its hydrodynamic behaviour but has a pronounced tendency to aggregate. The modified glycogen can be distinguished easily, by its diffusion coefficient, from glycogen degraded by more traditional methods of extraction.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Millimeter-wave Rotational Spectroscopy and Interstellar Search for 2-Mercaptoethanol (HSCH2CH2OH)

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Sulfur is one of the most abundant elements in the interstellar medium (ISM) and a key component for life, yet little is understood about its chemistry in the ISM. While increasingly larger molecules containing sulfur and oxygen are being observed in the

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

KINETIC STUDIES ON THE ALKYLATING ACTIVITY OF CERTAIN NEW CHALCONES OF ACETYLPYRIDINES [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Assiut University, 1995
The synthesis of a number of chalcones derived from acetylpyridines and some p-substituted benzaldehydes has been accomplished. These compounds were evaluated for their alkylating activity by kinetic studies of their reaction with 2-mercaptoethanol ...

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and
