Improvement of Unstructured Computational Fluid Dynamics Simulations Through Novel Mesh Generation Methodologies [PDF]
On the basis of the DLR contribution to DPW4, a procedure to produce an unstructured grid-convergence family as self-similar as possible is documented, with a specific procedure for steering the near-field, advancing-layer process.

Joint multicast routing and channel assignment in multiradio multichannel wireless mesh networks using tabu search [PDF]
Copyright @ 2009 IEEE Computer SocietyThis paper proposes a tabu search (TS) based optimization approach to search a minimum-interference multicast tree which satisfies the end-to-end delay constraint and optimizes the usage of the scarce radio network ...

This paper proposes a fully-automatic, text-guided generative method for producing perfectly-repeating, periodic, tile-able 2D imagery, such as the one seen on floors, mosaics, ceramics, and the work of M.C. Escher. In contrast to square texture images that are seamless when tiled, our method generates non-square tilings which comprise solely of ...

Stochastic domain decomposition for time dependent adaptive mesh generation [PDF]
The efficient generation of meshes is an important component in the numerical solution of problems in physics and engineering. Of interest are situations where global mesh quality and a tight coupling to the solution of the physical partial differential ...

Neural Volumetric Mesh Generator
Deep generative models have shown success in generating 3D shapes with different representations. In this work, we propose Neural Volumetric Mesh Generator(NVMG) which can generate novel and high-quality volumetric meshes. Unlike the previous 3D generative model for point cloud, voxel, and implicit surface, the volumetric mesh representation is a ready-

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Flow Feature Aligned Mesh Generation and Adaptation [PDF]
Methods which allow for construction of flow feature aligned meshes in two- and three-dimensions have been developed in this thesis to investigate their potential for improvements in the numerical solution relative to globally refining the mesh.

Part‐Based Mesh Segmentation: A Survey [PDF]
This paper surveys mesh segmentation techniques and algorithms, with a focus on part‐based segmentation, that is, segmentation that divides a mesh (featuring a 3D object) into meaningful parts.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.
