ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

Flow Feature Aligned Mesh Generation and Adaptation [PDF]
Methods which allow for construction of flow feature aligned meshes in two- and three-dimensions have been developed in this thesis to investigate their potential for improvements in the numerical solution relative to globally refining the mesh.

Blind Quality of a 3D Reconstructed Mesh
International audienceThis paper proposes blind mesh quality measures for a reconstructed 3D model. The assessment of 3D model quality is a fundamental step in the process of 3D reconstruction, to efficiently and iteratively improve the model quality. We

Despite frogs avoiding low temperatures, examination of four salamander species revealed that none avoided cold and all possessed cold tolerance. Functional analysis of TRPM8, a cold sensor, showed that all salamander TRPM8s had lost their cold sensitivity.

Recent studies have explored the generation of three-dimensional (3D) meshes from single images. A key challenge in this area is the difficulty of improving both the generalization and detail simultaneously in 3D mesh generation.

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.
