Mesh Topology Viewer (MTV): an SVG-based interactive mesh network topology visualization tool

2008 IEEE Symposium on Computers and Communications, 2008
This paper discusses wireless mesh network topology visualization tools and their requirements. It presents an interactive tool for visualizing mesh network topologies. The proposed tool uses the SVG - scalable vector graphics - web standard, which is based on XML, to build the network map.

Geometry and Topology for Mesh Generation

2001
The book combines topics in mathematics (geometry and topology), computer science (algorithms), and engineering (mesh generation). The motivation for these topics is the difficulty, both conceptually and in the technical execution, of combining elements of combinatorial and of numerical algorithms.

Topology Inference in Wireless Mesh Networks

2009
In this paper, we tackle the problem of topology inference in wireless mesh networks and present a novel approach to reconstructing the logical network topology. Our approach is based on the social fingerprint, a short bit pattern computed for each node to characterize the link status of the local neighborhood of the node. To conserve the communication

Mesh Composition on Models with Arbitrary Boundary Topology

IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, 2008
This paper presents a new approach for the mesh composition on models with arbitrary boundary topology. After cutting the needed parts from existing mesh models and putting them into the right pose, an implicit surface is adopted to smoothly interpolate the boundaries of models under composition.

Mesh routing topologies for multi-FPGA systems

IEEE Transactions on Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) Systems, 1998
There is currently great interest in using fixed arrays of FPGAs for logic emulators, custom computing devices, and software accelerators. An important part of designing such a system is determining the proper routing topology to use to interconnect the FPGAs. This topology can have a great effect on the area and delay of the resulting system. Crossbar,

GSPN models of concurrent architectures with mesh topology

Proceedings of the Fourth International Workshop on Petri Nets and Performance Models PNPM91, 2002
Describes a GSPN-based approach to performance evaluation of parallel MIMD architectures with mesh interconnection schemes. The analysis considers regular computational structures in which data exchange and inter-process synchronization require communication only among processors that are physically connected.

Topological analysis of polygon meshes

Computer-Aided Design, 1983
Abstract A mesh of quasidisjoint polygons is a useful representation of a surface for many applications of computer graphics and CAD. We present an algorithm that calculates the following information for an arbitrary orientable mesh: • • the number of connected components of the mesh • • for each component whether it is closed or not ...
