Meshfree Methods

open access: yes
The aim of this chapter is to provide an in-depth presentation and survey of meshfree particle methods. Several particle approximations are reviewed; the SPH method, corrected gradient methods and the moving least squares (MLS) approximation.

Meshfree Methods: A Comprehensive Review of Applications

International Journal of Computational Methods, 2018
The meshfree methods in computational mechanics have been actively proposed and increasingly developed in order to overcome some drawbacks in the conventional numerical methods. Over past three decades meshfree methods have found their way into many different application areas ranging from classical astronomical problems to solid mechanics analysis ...

Meshfree Methods and Their Classification

2015
Son yirmi yıl içinde birçok ağsız yöntem geliştirilmiş ve bu yöntemlerden bazıları zaman içerisinde kayda değer ilerlemeler göstermişlerdir. Bu çalışmada son zamanlarda geliştirilmekte olan nümerik metotlardan ağsız yöntemler hakkında temel bilgiler verilmiştir.

An adaptive‐hybrid meshfree approximation method

International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, 2011
SUMMARYIt is now commonly agreed that the global radial basis functions (GRBF) method is an attractive approach for approximating smooth functions. This superiority does not come free; one must find ways to circumvent the associated problem of ill‐conditioning and the high computational cost for solving dense matrix systems.

LEAST-SQUARES MESHFREE COLLOCATION METHOD

International Journal of Computational Methods, 2012
A least-squares meshfree collocation method is presented. The method is based on the first-order differential equations in order to result in a better conditioned linear algebraic equations, and to obtain the primary variables (displacements) and the dual variables (stresses) simultaneously with the same accuracy.
