Performance evaluation of the MESH-DQDC protocol

2008 International Conference on Telecommunications, 2008
In this work, we focus on a WLANs mesh, i.e., an ad hoc, IEEE 802.11-based network whose nodes are either user devices or access points providing access to the mesh network or to the Internet. By relying on some work about IEEE 802.11 MAC analysis, we consider mesh-DQDC protocol and present an analytical model of the MAC scheme, through which we show ...

Performance evaluation of coded meshed networks

2013 Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers, 2013
We characterize the performance of intra- and inter-session network coding (NC) in wireless networks using real-life implementations. We compare this performance to a recently developed hybrid approach, called CORE, which combines intra- and inter-session NC exploiting the code structure of the former to enhance the gains of the latter.

Mesh of Tree: Unifying Mesh and MFPGA for Better Device Performances

First International Symposium on Networks-on-Chip (NOCS'07), 2007
In this paper we present a new clustered mesh FPGA architecture where each cluster local interconnect is implemented as an MFPGA tree network. Unlike previous clustered mesh architectures, the mesh of tree allows us to consider large clusters sizes (thanks to MFPGA depopulated local interconnect). Experimentation shows that we obtain a reduction of 14%

On the performance of DCCP in wireless mesh networks

Proceedings of the 4th ACM international workshop on Mobility management and wireless access, 2006
The Datagram Congestion Control Protocol (DCCP) has been recently proposed as a new transport protocol, suitable for use by applications such as multimedia streaming. Wireless mesh networks have promising commercial potential for a large variety of applications. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of DCCP with TCP Friendly Rate Control (TFRC) in

A performance analysis of toroidal mesh networks

Microprocessing and Microprogramming, 1990
Abstract A performance analysis model for regular multicomputer networks is developed which covers both single- or multiple-message accepting PE models and buffered or unbuffered communication switches. The performance of a four-neighbour mesh with ‘wrapped-around’ boundaries as found in most transputer nets is evaluated in terms of the overall ...
