High-performance clock mesh optimization

ACM Transactions on Design Automation of Electronic Systems, 2012
Clock meshes are extremely effective at producing low-skew regional clock networks that are tolerant of environmental and process variations. For this reason, clock meshes are used in most high-performance designs, but this robustness consumes significant power. In this work, we present two techniques to optimize high-performance clock meshes.

Performative Meshes

Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Digital and Interactive Arts, 2019
Depth cameras are being extensively used to build 3D representation of physical spaces, bodies and objects from depth maps they output. This paper introduces different ways to work with depth map data for aesthetic purpose in the context of audiovisual performances using custom-written software and video projections based on state-of-the-art references

Parametric animation of performance‐captured mesh sequences

Computer Animation and Virtual Worlds, 2012
ABSTRACTIn this paper, we introduce an approach to high‐level parameterisation of captured mesh sequences of actor performance for real‐time interactive animation control. High‐level parametric control is achieved by non‐linear blending between multiple mesh sequences exhibiting variation in a particular movement.

Performance evaluation of optical mesh restoration schemes

Information Sciences, 2003
This paper investigates the performance of various schemes for restoration of lightpaths in an optical mesh network. We consider schemes in which backup paths for links or paths are pro-computed, but wavelength assignment is either pro-computed (static) or done dynamically upon failure (dynamic). In static restoration we compare the performance of link

Performance modeling of -dimensional mesh networks

Performance Evaluation, 2010
Mesh-based interconnection networks are the most popular inter-processor communication infrastructures used in current parallel supercomputers. Although many analytical models of n-D torus interconnection networks have been reported in the literature over the last decade, few analytical models have been proposed for the 2-D mesh case (and not for the ...

Performance of metal meshes as a function of incidence angle

Applied Optics, 1984
An inductive mesh was measured for transmission as a function of frequency, incidence angle, and polarization. The experimental data agree well with Chen's waveguide theory for meshes as long as an adequate number of modes are included in the calculations.

Performance of a Forwarding Layer for Mesh Network

2009
In this paper, we introduce our experience with implementation of an ad hoc network. The routing algorithm uses in-band traffic to distribute the routing information instead of providing a separate routing protocol. A 4 hop straight line topology ad hoc network is established for measuring the throughput in terms of hops.

Performance study of mesh restoration

OFC/NFOEC Technical Digest. Optical Fiber Communication Conference, 2005., 2005
We perform a sensitivity analysis of shared mesh restoration times. Through extensive simulations, we identify the parameters that have the most impact on the overall restoration times.

Mesh geometry impact on Micromegas performance with an Exchangeable Mesh prototype

Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 2016
Abstract The reconstruction precision of gaseous detectors is limited by losses of primary electrons during signal formation. In addition to common gas related losses, like attachment, Micromegas suffer from electron absorption during its transition through the micro mesh.

Performance comparison of join on hypercube and mesh

Proceedings of the 1992 ACM annual conference on Communications - CSC '92, 1992
In this paper, we compare the performance of two join algorithms on a cube and on a multidimensional mesh architectures. The algorithms are nested-loop and sort-merge joins. The study confirms that a higher connectivity architecture is faster and has a wider performance bandwidth. The sort-merge join algorithm is better for a small number of nodes, but
