Performance analysis of wireless mesh networks with three sector antennas

Proceedings of the 6th International Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing Conference, 2010
A wireless mesh network (WMN) is one of important applications for mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs). Most researches about WMN employ IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN in wireless links. IEEE 802.11 supports multiple channels. Performance improvement strategies by using multiple interfaces and multiple channels were discussed.

Performance Analysis of Wireless Mesh Networks for Underground Mines

2020 International Conference on Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Computing and Data Communication Systems (icABCD), 2020
Underground mines operate in harsh environments that have unique challenges that limit wireless communication. To ensure the safety and efficiency of mining operations, communication systems play a vital role. This paper develops a wireless mesh network (WMN) prototype system setup of wireless mesh transceivers to conduct a feasibility study and ...

Design principle and meshing performance analysis of asymmetric internal meshing gears with meshing line modification

Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part C: Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science
The asymmetric internal meshing gear with meshing line modification is designed in this article. Compared with symmetrical gears, asymmetric gears have better meshing performance. The core of the design principle of asymmetric gears tooth profiles: different meshing lines are designed for the left and right tooth profiles ...

Towards the performance analysis of IEEE 802.16 backbone mesh networks

Proceedings of the 2009 MobiHoc S3 workshop on MobiHoc S3 - MobiHoc S3 '09, 2009
In this paper, we consider a hybrid network with IEEE 802.16 based mesh for the backbone network and an IEEE 802.11 based indoor wireless network for the access network. The packets generated by the IEEE 802.11 network feed traffic into the backbone network. We use a jackson network approximation to model the mesh network.

Performance of the Mesh Architecture in the Analysis of Sparse Images

1989
Aim of the paper is to show a parallel cluster algorithm on a mesh architecture useful in the analysis of sparse images. The algorithm computes the 1NN and an approximate version of the MST of a weighted undirected graph, which represents the image “on” pixels. Some indexes of performance are given on the basis of an experimental evaluation.

Simulation and analysis of performance of indoor meshed ZigBee networks

2009 Mediterrannean Microwave Symposium (MMS), 2009
In this paper, system simulation for indoor meshed ZigBee networks is presented. The behavior of the radio channel is evaluated by means of 3D ray tracing algorithms that have been developed in order to analyze interference in a scenario of coexistence of two ZigBee meshed networks which are adjacent one to the other by electromagnetic transparent wall
