An automatic mesh segmentation algorithm following cognitive theory
2010 International Conference on Audio, Language and Image Processing, 2010In the digital geometric technologies, Mesh segmentation is an important part and is actively researched now. We present a meaningful automatic mesh segmentation algorithm based on the minimum rule, the short-cut rule, and the part salience test from the cognitive theory.

Thin capacitive meshes on a dielectric boundary: theory and experiment
Applied Optics, 1989A rigorous formulation is used to calculate the transmission properties of a thin, perfectly conducting biperiodic capacitive mesh on a dielectric boundary. The formulation is analogous to the well-known modal method used for inductive meshes, with the modal electric fields replaced by modal currents.

An application of graph theory in plotting finite element mesh
Computer-Aided Design, 1984Plotting the finite element mesh is an essential and time-consuming job for a civil engineer. An application of graph theoretic concepts like Euler Graph and unicursal graph in plotting implies a reduction in plotting time and improvement in the quality of plot output. A graph algorithm is described in this paper.
