Fluorinated Carbon with Ordered Mesoporous Structure
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2004Fluorination and structural change of highly ordered mesoporous carbons were studied. Mesoporous and fluorinated carbons with ordered cubic structure were synthesized and characterized with TEM, FTIR, adsorption, and EDX.

Bridging mesoporous carbon particles with carbon nanotubes
Microporous and Mesoporous Materials, 2007The enhancement of the electrical conductivity (EC) of a porous carbon is highly desirable in many applications, especially in those associated with storage and conversion of electrochemical energy. In this work, we demonstrated an approach to largely increasing the EC of ordered mesoporous carbon (OMC) by bridging the OMC particles with carbon ...

Application of mesoporous carbon and modified mesoporous carbon for treatment of DMF sewage
Journal of Nanoparticle Research, 2016Mesoporous carbon (MC) was prepared in soft template, and potassium ferricyanide was added into MC to prepare the modified mesoporous carbon (MMC). TEM, SEM, FT-IR, and N2 adsorption–desorption were used to characterize the textural properties of mesoporous materials.

2015
Ordered mesoporous carbons (OMCs) are of great interest in energy-related research and applications, partly due to their high surface areas, uniform pore channels, and narrow pore size distributions. During the past decades, a number of breakthroughs for the synthesis of OMCs, including hard templating methods and soft templating strategies, have been ...

Preparation of Mesoporous SiCBN Ceramic Templated by Mesoporous Carbon
Journal of the Korean Ceramic Society, 2007Well-ordered mesoporous SiCBN ceramics have been successfully synthesized by infiltrating a polymeric precursor, which was prepared from borazine and 2,4,6-trimethyl-2,4,6-trivinylcyclotrisilazane via a hydroboration reaction, into a mesoporous carbon (CMK-3) as a hard template.

Mesoporous Oxides via Carbonates
Science, 2013Materials Science Mesoporous oxide materials have potential applications in light harvesting and catalysis and as electrode materials. Thin films of these materials are most often formed through a soft-templating process in which a precursor gel is patterned by nanoscale micelles that form from diblock copolymers during solvent evaporates.

Synthesis of wrinkled mesoporous carbon
Materials Letters, 2017Abstract Wrinkled mesoporous silica was used as a template for the synthesis of carbon with the same morphology and pore structure. The resulting wrinkled mesoporous carbon not only maintains the unique conical pore structure radiating from the core to the outside surface but also exhibits an increased surface area relative to silica.

Hydrogen adsorption in mesoporous carbons
Applied Physics Letters, 2004The hydrogen adsorption of mesoporous carbon materials with different mesostructures, surface areas, and pore volumes has been investigated. Experimental results indicate that the hydrogen adsorption capacities are dominantly related to their surface areas.
