Metamorphic materials: Restructuring siliceous mesoporous materials*

Advanced Materials, 1995
Effective tailoring of pore sizes in mesoporous molecular sieves (see Figure) has been achieved by a novel method involving the restructuring of the mesopores under mild aqueous conditions. A studyis reported aimed at elucidating the underlying chemistry.

Mesoporous Materials‐Based Electrochemical Sensors

Electroanalysis, 2015
AbstractA review (350 references) is given to the interest of mesoporous materials for designing electrochemical sensors. After a brief summary of the implication of template‐based ordered mesoporous materials in electrochemical science, the various types of inorganic and organic‐inorganic hybrid mesostructures used to date in electroanalysis and the ...

Mesoporous Material from Zeolite

Journal of Porous Materials, 2002
Zeolite/mesoporous molecular sieve composites (ZMC) are made using zeolites as silica-alumina source. XRD patterns of the ZMC show the peaks for both zeolite and mesoporous molecular sieve with hexagonal symmetry. Morphology of the ZMC is different from that of a physical mixture of the two components.

Modelling mesoporous materials

2002
Publisher Summary Mesoporous materials of the MCM or SBA variety are by nature organized amorphous materials. To describe their structure, it is necessary to utilize a model that can accommodate both the organization and the disorder. A structural model allows further properties of a phase to be anticipated and also allows the visualization of a ...

Polysiloxane-Modified Mesoporous Materials

Journal of Sol-Gel Science and Technology, 2000
We report the preparation of polysiloxane-modified mesoporous silica gels derived from the acid catalysed hydrolysis of tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) and oligomeric silanol terminated polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) in the presence of the non-ionic surfactant, octaethylene glycol monohexadecyl ether.
