A Fentanyl‐Responsive Microneedle Patch for Harm Reduction
A fentanyl‐responsive microneedle patch is developed as a self‐regulating overdose intervention that releases naloxone upon detecting fentanyl. The system employs aptamer‐functionalized nanoparticles embedded in a swellable polymer matrix to enable rapid, on‐demand drug delivery through the skin.

Positronium Annihilation Lifetime Spectroscopy Study of SBA-15 [PDF]
Positronium annihilation lifetime spectroscopy (PALS) is a technique used in the characterization of porosity in nanostructured materials. Positrons, the antiparticle to the electron, enter a sample and either immediately annihilate with an electron or ...

A novel nonsurfactant pathway to hydrothermally stable mesoporous silica materials [PDF]
A novel way is described to tune the pore diameters of the hydroxy-carboxylic acid templated mesoporous silica materials by adding different amount of aluminum chloride to the synthesis mixture for the sol-gel reactions, and these silica materials ...

Structure and Luminescence Properties of Eu3+-Doped Cubic Mesoporous Silica Thin Films
Eu3+ ions-doped cubic mesoporous silica thin films with a thickness of about 205 nm were prepared on silicon and glass substrates using triblock copolymer as a structure-directing agent using sol–gel spin-coating and calcination processes.

ABSTRACT Large‐ion (K, Na) battery systems mitigate uneven global lithium distribution, while their ability to attain recharge time shorter than refueling would remove the final barrier for secondary batteries to replace petroleum vehicles. However, their large‐ion chemistry makes ultra‐fast charging an even significant challenge.

Analysis of evolution of electron-radiation-induced defects in white-luminescent, carbonized, mesoporous silica nanocomposite using transmission electron microscopy/cathodoluminescence [PDF]
We examined the evolution of electron-radiation-induced defects in a white-luminescent, carbonized, mesoporous silica nanocomposite using cathodoluminescence (CL) and electron energy-loss spectroscopy associated with scanning transmission electron ...

An adhesive hydrogel depot with polyphenol‐armored nanogenes is developed for treating aged osteoarthritis. This system maintains miR‐140 bioactivity, prolongs its intra‐articular retention, and enhances transfection into chondrocytes, leading to the downregulation of senescence‐associated pathways.
